Wonka’s Music Star Cross Media Consumer Promotion, partnership with Boomerang Networks in Latin America:
Find Wonka’s next Music Star! Participants uploaded a video showcasing their musical talent. The chosen winner and guest won a 5 day trip to New York City to receive voice and choreography coaching, a makeover and have their own music video professionally recorded! Daily diary capsules recorded the winner’s experience and aired on Boomerang Networks prior to the debut of the final Music Star video- “Make it Loud”.. The promotion included alternate games for consumers to win other prizes if they did not want to participate in talent scout. Runner up prizes included consumer electronics, Wonka Rumba Packs and promotional items. There were over 1,000 video submissions and over 25,000 promotion registrants.
The cross media promotional elements included: Call-to-action promo and branded TV spots, Digital banners, promotion microsite for registration and uploads, Social media elements, In-store POP, OOH signage, and local activations.
